The Edward is a classic service boot. It has larger quarters and slightly different details than the Diesel, such as smaller hardware and an extra eyelet, creating a dressier feel.
Few natural-colored leathers translate well on a finished product. The Badalassi Carlo Tannery has one of the richest vegetable tannages available, infused with waxes that allow an unparalleled presentation and patina over time. The leather is placed in a 'Bottali,' a large barrel that rotates, allowing the organic tanning substances to stay in contact with the article. A complete cycle may take 30 - 35 days. The result is a very receptive leather that changes with every wear.
The upper leather combined with a double bend leather sole creates a vegetable-tanned boot from top to bottom that will burnish and darken, becoming truly individual.
The leather can have prominent vamp breaks and a variation of colors. Since this is a light-colored vegetable-tanned article, areas on the boot may have darker hues.
